- Central spare parts warehouse in Amsterdam currently to be established
- Supply from national service partners guaranteed in 1-3 days
- Around 600 spare parts always in stock
Shanghai / Munich, November 26, 2020 – Aiways, a Shanghai-based electric mobility startup, is expanding its presence in the European market. With its first battery electric vehicle, the company aims to boost the electrification of individual mobility in Europe with a compelling product at a fair price. Following the launch of the battery-electric Aiways U5 for sale in Germany, customers in the Netherlands have also been able to order the innovative SUV since last week.
Parallel to the expansion course, the Shanghai startup is establishing a European spare parts warehouse to be able to serve service partners in fast-reacting countries. The central warehouse will be located at the Fokker Logistik Park Schiphol near Amsterdam, with good transport links, in an operating area of around 12,000 square meters. Around 30 employees of the logistics partner Lux-mate Europe BV will ensure that around 90 percent of the expected demand is covered there. Required parts reach national service partners in 1-3 days.
In case of service, Aiways keeps more than 600 pieces of its battery-powered U5 in its central European warehouse. These include accident-prone body parts and all high-voltage system components. Alexander Klose, Aiways head of foreign business, expresses his satisfaction: “With a centralized supply of spare parts in Europe, we guarantee our customers quick support if necessary.”
