JSO responded to shooting on Ken Knight Dr. E. that left one injured, suspect remains at large

Jacksonville, Florida – A shooting incident that occurred on Thursday, December 14, around 11:30 a.m., drew members of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) to the scene at 7100 Ken Knight Dr. E. This followed calls reporting a person shot in the area.

The Incident and Response

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man in his 40s who had sustained a gunshot wound to his ankle. Fortunately, his injuries were deemed non-serious, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The preliminary investigation conducted by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office showed the victim was walking when he was shot by an unidentified assailant. The suspect is currently at large and has been described as a man dressed entirely in black and armed with a handgun.

Detectives at the scene conducted interviews and were actively searching for any video surveillance footage in the vicinity that might help in the investigation into this incident.
