Switch leads Japan sales in consoles and games, in a list marked by the stock of PS5 and Xbox

The Nintendo console dominates quite strongly both the sale of consoles and the Top Ten of software.

PlayStation 5

The Japanese magazine Famitsu has published, like every week, the sales of consoles and games in Japan during the last seven days. On some dates that are marked by the arrival of the new generation and its lack of stock, which is causing the figures obtained by PS5 and Xbox Series X and S to be relative.

For this reason, Nintendo Switch is positioned as the best-selling console of the week, with more than 117,000 units sold. A figure well above the 40.000 PS5 that have been sold between its two versions. For their part, Xbox Series X and S have placed around 3,500 machines, in a market where it traditionally costs for the Redmond company.

When it comes to software, the strongest entry is for Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban!, a Konami game for Nintendo Switch that goes straight to the top of the table. With the exception of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PS4, the other nine games in the Top 10 belong to the Nintendo hybrid.
