Topgolf to open eighth location in South Florida on December 15

Pompano Beach, Florida – A new Topgolf location will open in South Florida on December 15, promising patrons leisure and entertainment like never before. Located near Harrah’s Pompano Beach Casino, directly off I-95 and on the intersection of Powerline Road, the 64,000-square-foot facility marks Topgolf’s eighth South Florida location.

The entertainment facility will feature amenities such as 102 outdoor hitting bays, private event spaces, a full-service bar, and an outdoor patio. This setting is ideal for anyone looking for an entertaining and relaxed atmosphere for a night out.

The spot where Topgolf is debuting has rich historical significance. The old track grandstand at Pompano Park, which stood tall since 1964, was demolished this May to make way for the expansive 223-acre plan at Harrah’s Pompano Beach. Prior to its closure last year on April 17, 2022, the venue, which belonged to the entertainment juggernaut Caesars Entertainment, saw Standardbreds trotting and pacing around the dirt oval for nearly six decades. Captivating drone footage by Clarke Bowman Photography.com immortalizes the last days of the iconic track.

The site, affectionately known as ‘The Pomp’ by horse racing fans, is undergoing a massive transformation. The Cordish Company, the original development partner of the Seminole Tribe of Florida for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, is taking the reins to develop the site. The revamped ‘Pomp’ will boast 1.3 million square feet of retail and entertainment space, 4,000 luxury residential units, two hotels, and 1.35 million square feet of office space.

The new Topgolf facility is also set to bring significant employment opportunities to the area. Topgolf Pompano Beach, per media releases, will create nearly 450 full-time and part-time jobs.
